Living large on a flat broke budget

One mans trash is another mans treasure. Got a bunch of old stuff you want to get rid of? Don't throw it away. Have a yard sale! You can sell almost anything, someone will buy that old broken down sofa. It might be worthless to you but it may be valuable to someone else. Round up all your old clothes, appliances, furniture, & toys. Then you can put the proceeds on those brand new platform mary jane slingback Loubous with a cresent toe!

Have valuable items? Sell them on eBay, craigslist, or the classified section of your local newspaper.

What do you want for christmas, birthday, ect? Don't beat around the bush tell them what you want. There asking your opinion why answer "I dont know" you know what you want, tell them!!! It's not being rude, it's rude when you "secretly" return/exchange that furry green sweater that resembled The Grinch that Stole X-mas. Not to mention now you wasted time & gas to return the damn thing. One year my dad asked me what I wanted, I told him a Kitchen Aid. Guess what I got? A KITCHEN AID!

Speak up don't beat around the bush! My dad had a pcs to Japan, he didnt want to take all his furniture with him. He offered it to my 2 brothers & me. While my brothers were beating around the bush, I just said yes I will take it!!! Little did I know, it was 20k worth of brand new furniture. We also got 2 60 inch TVs in the deal. I will post pics once we have it all moved into our new house.

Got change? Save it! Put it in a jar & once the jar is full you can make an extra debt payment. We were saving for a fabulous ski vacation next year. But the kids decided they wanted to save up for a dog instead.

Give to charity A charitable donation doesn't always mean money. Donate you old cell phones, computers, glasses. Donations to charity are tax deductable. These donations can reduce your taxable income & lower your tax bill
